In this interview, Zolo Mundur, the CEO of Codelex Legaltech, spoke with Rakesh Taneja, Managing Partner of Taneja Law Office in India, about his law practice and his thoughts about using Lexub. 

ZM: Could you please introduce yourself and your law firm briefly?

RT: My name is Rakesh Taneja. I am a law graduate of 1990 and practicing law in New Delhi, India.  I am a second-generation lawyer who has focused his practice on matrimonial disputes, Family Law, succession/inheritance, commercial litigation, and money recovery besides contracts both in the local and international domain. I am practicing as a litigation lawyer before all Courts, Tribunals, and Commissions in the National Capital Region of India. I have my office located in the Supreme Court of India. I am currently heading a family-owned law practice in the name and style of Taneja Law Office, which was started in 1976.

ZM: What was the reason you shared your document on Lexub in the first place?

RT: I have a fair and long experience of working online and I have been involved with a number of companies already in the business of providing legal documents and services online. I can describe myself as a pioneer of remote performance, which has now come up to become a norm as a consequence of the outbreak of the Novel COVID-19 worldwide. The concept of remote performance has been actively pursued and practiced by me since 2004. I have already published and sold over 2000 legal documents online while simultaneously providing legal services in the nature of drafting, consultation, opinion, and advice to a number of clients across the globe.

ZM: What was your first impression of a legal document marketplace? 

RT: My first impression after coming across Lexub as a document marketplace, was of excitement and thrill with the expectation that this would help me enhance my online presence besides adding to my revenues in terms of the sale of my legal documents.

ZM: What do you think are the advantages of Lexub? Would you recommend it to other lawyers?

RT: Of Course, I have already sent an alert to a number of my colleagues to join Lexub. The advantages would include, client references, online professional presence besides a regular source of revenues through online sale of legal documents.
